ELECTRICAL ADAPTERS
Here is the information you should know to choose the right adapter.
Global Connections has Adapters to allow you to plug in your appliances almost anywhere in the world. Adapters are necessary because electrical outlets are different in most parts of the world. Your North American plug probably will not work without an adapter. We have adapter plugs, both two-pin and three-pin grounded adapters for almost every country on earth. Adapter plugs do not convert the voltage of the electricity supplied to the outlet. If you have an appliance that is "dual voltage" (one which will operate on both 110-120 volt and 220-240 volt current), an adapter plug is all you will need. (Make sure you switch the appliance to run on the proper voltage first.) However, if your appliance operates only on 110-120 volts, you will also need a Converter or a Transformer to convert the voltage to 110-120 to safely operate it. Sometimes you may find it more convenient (& even less expensive) to purchase a Dual Voltage Appliance that will function in other countries with a simple adapter.
