GLOBAL CONNECTIONS has hundreds, even thousands of items in the categories listed on our Home Page, many of which can be found on these pages. If you don't find what you want on this Web Page, don't hesitate to call us (800-376-2441, or 816-252-0024 in the Kansas City area) to see if we have it or can get it for you. Those products that are listed on these pages can be purchased in the following ways:

ORDER PROCESSING--Most orders are processed & shipped within 5 business days. Your credit card will not be charged until the shipment is actually ready to go. Occasionally we are sold out of some products faster than we have expected. If the item you have ordered is currently out of stock, we will notify you, along with the date we anticipate being able to ship it to you. Please keep in mind that delivery dates for some of our foreign-made handcrafts are often not as predictable or as reliable as U.S.-made products. If an item is on backorder from our suppliers, we will ask you if you want to have it shipped when it is available or if you prefer to cancel the order.
SHIPPING--Unless specific other arrangements are made, Global Connections will ship most small items by U.S. Parcel Post, and larger items by ground United Parcel Service, endeavoring to choose the most economical and expeditious method. Our shipping charges are the current standard UPS or U.S. Postal Service rates for the contiguous 48 states, which can be found at www.UPS.com, or www.USPS.com respectively, plus modest charges for the packing materials. For small orders, we have found that shipping via U.S. Postal Service is the most economical. If shipment is desired by means other than standard Parcel Post or UPS Ground, please Contact Us directly for appropriate arrangements. The shipping rates indicated on checkout are domestic rates for shipments within the contiguous 48 states of the U.S. For international shipments, U.S. domestic charges do not apply--our customary practice is to do a "pass through" of the actual cost of shipping and packing materials--If you have any questions, please Contact Us directly for appropriate arrangement for shipping your purchases. Orders with several items may be shipped in more than one parcel.
U.P.S. sometimes applies a surcharge to very large or heavy shipments in addition to their usual charges for freight truck delivery. For example, some of Replogle's Masterpiece Globes (The Diplomat, the Statesman, the President, & the Finley) are large & require special handling. For these globes, UPS adds an extra $100 fee to their usual charges for freight truck delivery.
International shipping rates (and rates outside the contiguous 48 states) vary tremendously. (The shipping rates listed on our checkout are domestic rates for shipments within the contiguous states of the United States.) Call us to discuss the arrangements for sending your international shipment. (Normally, we do a simple "pass through" of the cost of the shipping method you choose.) In addition to shipping charges, you are responsible for any import duties & taxes that may be levied when the shipment reaches your country. For international shipments, we must list on the customs form the product type & value of the contents.
ON-LINE SECURITY--For your security, Global Connections has contracted with MIVA MERCHANT, a company which specializes in providing secure on-line commercial transactions. Miva Merchant provides security for many on-line shopping Web sites, keeping your personal information private. Miva Merchant uses one-way encryption processes (changing data into scrambled code) to ensure that the confidential transfer of information to us is safeguarded. PRIVACY POLICY--Global Connections uses the personal information you provide only as needed for the purpose of filling your order, receiving payment for it, and communicating directly with you as necessary. All collected information on our customers is confidential. We never sell or share lists or information with other parties, nor do we place "cookies" on your site.
Global Connections' Web site has links with a number of other Web sites, making it convenient for you to access them. We of course do not control the privacy policies of those other sites and how they use information about their users after you have moved from our site to theirs.
RETURN POLICIES--If an item you have purchased is defective, you may return or exchange it within 14 days of your receipt of the item, in its original package & without evidence of use. Returns or exchanges must be pre-authorized by phone or e-mail. We will be responsible for additional freight charges if the return is due to manufacturer's defect or shipping damage. Returns for any other reason are subject to a 10% restocking fee & shipping charges, & must be returned in their original packing & in salable condition for a refund to be given.
