 This beautiful Cloisonne' vase on brass is from the Republic of China.  It is slightly over 10 inches high, with a greatest diameter of 6 1/2 inches.

This Cloisonne' vase on brass is also from the Republic of China, and features beautiful plum blossoms, the national flower.  It is 6 1/2 inches tall, with maximum diameter of 3 1/2 inches.

Carved Lacquerware Vases:

These two matching vases from the Republic of China represent the ancient technique of painting the inner brass vase with many many coats of lacquer, after which the design has been carefully carved.
